ROOT-ed Zine’s fifth issue is dedicated to the topic of new beginnings! With the success of ROOT-ed's last themed issue, co-founder Amber and Fauziya decided to continue having the zine themed. As it is a new year, we hope that this issue of ROOT-ed Zine inspires you to dream and reach bigger as well as reflect on the year that has just passed.
This issue included contenet by an array of talented artists including Sumuyya Khader, Fung Ula and Rachel Gnagniko. The zine is also funded by o2's Go Think Big which is a wonderful scheme that aims to provide funding for you euntrupenets in the UK.
Each zine comes with a personalised hand written letter of encouragment in collaboration with Kiara Mohamed's 'Letters To My Sisters' which also collaborated with Liverpool creative BluBoy.
This issue is in collaboartion with FACT.
ROOT-ed's co-founders, Amber Akaunu and Fauziya Johnson, are the recipients of the 2018 HOPE + FACT Graduate Production Residency Award, which offers Liverpool Hope University BAFine Art Graduates the opportunity to participate in a two month production residency at FACT.
