Elliss Eyo-Thompson
Elliss is a writer, poet and general creative soul from Liverpool.
At the time of this shoot I had been exploring my feminine energy. The photographer contacted me because she liked my style and wanted to capture my fashion sense and my fashion icons.
I actually wrote the androgynous piece before the pictures were took, when I was just visualising the art. I wanted to depict the beautiful challenge of gender fluidity and androgyny.
Photography/modelling is probably my favourite form of art. Because pictures can say so many things whether a human body be in it or not. However not everyone is creative minded, so I also love writing pieces that go with images as a way to engage the reader into art.
POC in North West can be more supported by platforms like this that we have to create ourselves.
